A case of “green water” can happen to anyone.

SOURCE: It can come from inadequate filtration, under chlorinating, weather changes, rainy weather or just lack of attention.

REMEDY: Shock with liquid or powder “Shock”. Run filter for one hour and then SHUT OFF FOR 24 HOURS. Shock will take the algae and bring it to the bottom of the pool. At this point, you should be able to see the bottom. Run filter continuously and BACKWASH every hour. Water should clear in 3 days. Test water for proper levels of chlorine, PH and Alkalinity.
